1st Season with Bandits

Hi, I’m Cory Lahey.

My volleyball experience started from the time I was born.  I was born into a family of volleyball players and coaches which sparked my love for the game.

I have been a coach for indoor and beach for eight years.  I coached indoor with the Chatham Ballhawks from 2018-2022.  More recently, I have dedicated my time focusing on my own club; Sandlot Beach Volleyball, for the past five years.

My personal experience includes competing as part of the Ontario Region 3 team, the Provincial team, and the Junior National Team.  On all three of these teams, I was a setter, as well I had the role of middle on the Junior National Team.  In high school, my team captured the gold medal at OFSSA.  During my post-secondary experience at Durham College, my team captured two OCAA championships and were inducted into the hall of fame.  I did a post grad year at Niagara College where my team also captured an OCAA championship and I was selected to the Provincial All-Star Team.  This team was also inducted into the hall of fame.  While at Durham, I played the positions of left side and middle.  At Nigara I was a left side and setter.

I am very excited for this opportunity with South County Bandits and am looking forward to a fantastic season as the 18U National team head coach.
